Both reports, sourced to NFL Network's Garafolo and Rapoport on 2026-09-29 (this game week), state Lewis will be sidelined a few weeks with a UCL injury in his elbow and "will miss at least the Panthers' game Sunday night against the Detroit Lions" (P1) — that Sunday is this game, 04 Oct 2026. PFT restates the same from Garafolo and adds that Canales was awaiting imaging with the Week 5 bye factored into the return timeline, i.e. the best case is a return after this game (P2).
