What this site knows about you

Short version: nothing we store. This page says exactly what happens when you load a page here, including the two things your browser fetches from somebody else.

We set no cookies and run no analytics

There is no cookie on this site — not a necessary one, not a preference one, not an analytics one. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. No analytics script, tag manager or pixel is loaded, and this site keeps no per-visitor log of its own.

Two things your browser fetches from somebody else

Loading any page here makes your browser contact two hosts that are not us. Neither receives anything we send them about you — but a request from your browser necessarily reveals your IP address and the page you were reading to whoever answers it.

Google Fonts

The two typefaces come from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your browser requests them directly from Google.

The NFL's image CDN

Player photographs are served from static.www.nfl.com. Your browser requests each photograph directly from them, so loading a page with players on it tells that host which players you were looking at.

If you hold an API key

The client area keeps your key in session storage, which dies with the browser tab, and the page calls the API directly with it. This website never receives your key — so a compromise here could not hand anybody your credential. No cookie is set, which is also why there is no sign-out: close the tab.

Requests you make to the API with that key are recorded against the key, because an API that cannot say who called it cannot be audited or billed. That record is of the key and the route, not of you.

Where the data about players comes from

Everything this site says about a player is derived from published sources — club injury reports, depth charts and play-by-play data — not from anything about you. How it works names them.

This page describes the site as it is built. If you find a sentence here that is not true of what the site does, that is a defect and we want to know.
