Zay Jones Not Expected To Play In Week 6
one year ago

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said he doesn't expect wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) and left guard Walker Little (knee) to play in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. Jones returned from a two-game absence due to a knee injury in the win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday in London and scored a touchdown, but he aggravated the same knee and is going to miss more time. The 28-year-old has taken a clear back seat to Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk and Evan Engram so far when healthy this year, making him a low-upside, touchdown-dependent WR4/flex when he's available. With Jones likely to be ruled out, Jamal Agnew will have another shot to serve as the No. 3 wide receiver in Jacksonville. In the one game he played in with Jones out, Agnew caught four of five targets for 49 yards in Week 3.
