Zach Wilson To Keep Starting "Barring A Disaster"
one year ago

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Jets plan to keep Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback "barring a disaster." The 24-year-old, drafted No. 2 overall in 2021, has struggled this season by throwing for an underwhelming 1,600 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions. Even worse, he's completed only 59.9% of his attempts. As a result, head coach Robert Saleh has received plenty of backlash from the press. However, it hasn't been enough for Saleh to pull the plug on Wilson in favor of journeyman backup Trevor Siemian. Nonetheless, although the signal-caller will likely keep a firm grasp on the starting job until Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) returns, it still doesn't mean he deserves a spot in most fantasy lineups. At the same time, as long as he remains under center and continues to play poorly, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, to name a few, will continue to suffer from a fantasy standpoint.
