Vikings Unsure If Justin Jefferson Will Practice Next Week
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said he does not know if wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will return to practice next week, which would open up his 21-day window to officially be activated from Injured Reserve. Jefferson was initially expected to miss anywhere from four to six weeks when he was put on IR with his hamstring injury, so there's a chance he won't be ready to go in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints, and the Vikings definitely aren't going to be rushing the All-Pro pass-catcher back before he's ready. Rookie Jordan Addison has been the biggest beneficiary of Jefferson's injury, catching 17 of 23 targets for 233 yards and four touchdowns in the last three games. K.J. Osborn and Brandon Powell will continue to have elevated roles as well, but now all Minnesota pass-catchers should be downgraded after the season-ending torn Achilles that quarterback Kirk Cousins suffered in the Week 8 win over the Green Bay Packers.
