Vikings To Use Bye Week To Evaluate Quarterback Position
12 months ago

The Minnesota Vikings plan to spend their bye week deciding which of their three quarterbacks -- Joshua Dobbs, Nick Mullens or rookie Jaren Hall -- is best suited to maximize All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson's (hamstring) skills, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell. Jefferson injured his hamstring in Week 4 but was officially activated from Injured Reserve on Tuesday and will return after the bye in Week 14. Dobbs played the majority of the team's last four games, but he has committed six turnovers in consecutive losses after leading them to wins in his first two games. Both Mullens and Hall are healthy after dealing with injuries recently. Dobbs has the most fantasy upside of the trio and will probably stick as the starter coming out of the bye, but fantasy managers that have been riding with him of late need to seriously consider other options the rest of the way, even if Dobbs starts again in Week 14.
