Vikings To Make Decision On Quarterback Later In The Week
12 months ago

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that the team's decision on the starting quarterback will be made later in the week as they prepare to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15 on Saturday. Minnesota considered benching Joshua Dobbs going into their Week 13 bye but stuck with him in the Week 14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders for three quarters before benching him in favor of Nick Mullens after Dobbs went 10-for-23 for just 63 yards in the eventual 3-0 win. Mullens went 9-for-13 for 83 yards and led the team to the lone scoring drive in the entire game. With how badly Dobbs has played in his last two starts, it would be a surprise if the Vikes didn't turn to Mullens at this point. Mullens may be better at avoiding turnovers, but his ceiling won't be much higher as a low-end QB2 option in superflex fantasy leagues.
