Vikings Sign Defensive Tackle Jonah Williams
8 months ago

The Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent defensive tackle Jonah Williams to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday after he visited with the team on Monday. Williams played with defensive line coach Marcus Dixon when both were with the Los Angeles Rams. The Vikings had signed the 28-year-old in November of 2021 but he failed a physical and ended up winning a Super Bowl ring with the Rams after that. In his first three years in the NFL with the Rams from 2021-23, Williams had a total of 77 tackles (32 solo), 2.5 sacks and eight QB hits in 41 games played (22 starts). He was thrust into a larger role in LA in 2022 due to injuries to Aaron Donald and A'Shawn Robinson and ended up starting a career-high 16 games in 2023. Williams will give Minnesota more defensive-line depth this year.
