Vikings Not Expected To Rush Justin Jefferson Back
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is heading to Injured Reserve after getting hurt in the Week 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, meaning he'll miss at least the next four games. With the Vikings season already hanging in the balance, many are wondering if they will just mail it in with Jefferson and continue to rest him if they are well out of contention in another four weeks. ESPN's Kevin Seifert doesn't see it being that drastic, but Jefferson's injury is significant enough that there is concern that he won't be ready when he's eligible to return. Because of his contract situation, the 24-year-old isn't going to feel rushed to get back on the field, and the Vikings aren't going to rush it, either. Fantasy managers must stash the All-Pro wideout and hope he's back sooner than later. In the meantime, rookie Jordan Addison, K.J. Osborn and tight end T.J. Hockenson will see an increase in targets for the foreseeable future.
