Vikings In No Rush To Extend Christian Darrisaw
4 months ago

Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw is eligible for a contract extension, and while the Vikings certainly want to keep him around for the long haul, the team is in no rush to do so. It remains to be seen if the two sides can find common ground with two seasons still remaining on Darrisaw's rookie contract. General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah explained that extensions after three seasons of a rookie deal are hard to come by. The team and player must work through old money, new money and overall length. Darrisaw is now represented by super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, who has an exceptional relationship with the Vikings. The 25-year-old former 23rd overall pick in 2021 out of Virginia Tech should eventually get something done to stick around in Minnesota, but it might take some time. He's started in 39 of the 41 games he's appeared in over his first three years.
