UFL Standout Daewood Davis Expected To Sign With Panthers

The Carolina Panthers plan to sign Memphis Showboats wide receiver Daewood Davis, pending a physical, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Davis was named to the All-UFL team this year after catching 41 passes for 446 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games. The 25-year-old played his college ball at Oregon and Western Kentucky before going undrafted in 2023. He suffered an injury in a preseason game with the Miami Dolphins last year and was released ahead of the team's 53-man roster cutdown. He'll now get a second chance at finding a home on an NFL roster for a team that desperately needs pass-catching help.
