Tyrod Taylor Ruled Out For Week 9
one year ago

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 9, per head coach Brian Daboll. Filling in for an injured Daniel Jones (neck) over the last three weeks, Taylor had gone 55-for-84 for 573 passing yards with two touchdowns. In Week 8, he was removed after suffering an injury of his own and replaced by practice-squad signee Tommy Devito, who went 2-for-7 and finished with negative passing yards. Jones appears to be trending in the right direction to start on Sunday, but if there is any setback, it will be DeVito getting the start against the Las Vegas Raiders. If that's the case, the offense will again be carried by running back Saquon Barkley, who accumulated 39 total touches last week against the Jets.
