Tyrod Taylor Injured, Replaced By Tommy Devito
one year ago

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor departed Sunday's game against the New York Jets in the second quarter. While the team didn't provide an immediate report on his status, Taylor appeared to be in serious pain with an apparent arm or shoulder injury. Prior to exiting, he had completed five of eight passes for six yards while also rushing for 33 yards. As Taylor received medical attention, rookie Tommy Devito entered at quarterback. The Illinois product has never played a snap in the NFL, and he didn't log a single rep with the first-team offense this past week. It could be a tough second half for the Giants, who already lost Darren Waller (hamstring) for the rest of the game.
