Tyrod Taylor Doesn't Expect To Miss Rest Of The Season
one year ago

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs), who was placed on Injured Reserve last weekend, said his rib injury is "not season-ending in my mind." Taylor said nobody has told him he'll need to miss the rest of the 2023 season after he suffered a rib injury in Week 8. Daniel Jones is now out for the rest of the year after tearing his right ACL in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, so the Giants are forced to move forward with rookie Tommy Devito as their starter under center, starting in Week 10 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. New York has been non-committal on whether the 34-year-old Taylor will be back this year. At the very least, he'll have to miss the next three games while on IR. Depending on how DeVito fares in a starting role, Taylor could be an option to take over the starting gig in Week 14.
