Tyre Phillips Making "Very Good Progress"

New York Giants impending free-agent offensive lineman Tyre Phillips (quadriceps) is said to be making "very good progress" from his quadriceps injury this offseason. The expectation is that he'll resume running in four to five months with change of direction mixed in after six months. Phillips should make a full return to all football activities in the seven- to eight-month range. The 27-year-old started nine games for the New York Giants last season in his second season with the G-Men. Phillips was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round in 2020 and spent his first two seasons in the NFL in Baltimore. He had surgery on his quadriceps muscle in early January. Phillips is unlikely to be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season, which will complicate his free-agent market.
