Ty Chandler Deflates After Career Night

Minnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler's recent surge up the backfield depth chart was momentarily stymied in Week 12's dispiriting 12-10 loss to the division-rival Chicago Bears, rushing four times for eight yards with one reception for three yards. Chandler "led" the team in rushing during the first half, running for a scant eight yards on three totes. And the speedy 25-year-old didn't get gain momentum at any point thereafter, either, finishing with a mere 11 scrimmage yards in the contest as a whole. It was a major disappointment for fantasy managers who hoped to catch lightning in a bottle perhaps akin to Keaton Mitchell with Chandler, who looked electric at times in the Week 11 defeat with 110 total yards on 14 touches. The Vikings remain very much committed to lead back Alexander Mattison, who averaged over five yards per carry on Monday for the first time in a game since Week 4. Chandler will be on many fantasy-roster bubbles during a Week 13 bye.
