Ty Chandler Continues Upward Trend Sunday

Minnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler split touches with power back Alexander Mattison during Week 11's 21-20 loss to the Denver Broncos. The NFL Network's Tom Pelissero relayed the planned setup of Chandler's continued increase in involvement on Sunday morning, and it came to fruition in this one. Both runners were equally impressive on the ground in the first half, as Chandler carried the rock six times for 30 yards. The 25-year-old keyed Minnesota's fourth-quarter scoring drive, running for 31 yards on a perfectly executed fake punt and 19 yards on a catch later on the possession. A thunder and lightning tandem could be brewing here (shades of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard in years past). Chandler's rising play appears to have earned him more playing time, as well as a place on fantasy's high-upside RB3 spectrum in Week 12 next Monday evening at home against the division-rival Chicago Bears.
