Trey Palmer Won't Be Trustworthy For Week 1
one year ago

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer has found himself in an interesting spot to open the season. Fellow wide receiver Russell Gage (knee) is out for the season, which opened up the No. 3 role on the roster. During the preseason, Palmer played extremely well and earned himself that third spot at wideout. It looks nice on paper, but Palmer probably won't have a ton of action right away. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are going to be the primary receivers on this team. The Bucs do have a favorable matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. Although, it's uncertain if the Bucs will be a pass-heavy team with newcomer Baker Mayfield under center. That being said, Palmer is more of a stash option right now. He could very well step into a bigger role especially if Evans or Godwin goes down with an injury. For now, Palmer can remain on the bench in most formats.
