Trevor Siemian Draws Excellent Matchup In First Start This Season
11 months ago

New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian is set to make his first start for the team at home against the Washington Commanders in Week 16. In relief of Zach Wilson (concussion), Siemian threw for 110 scoreless yards and two interceptions against the Miami Dolphins last week but should fare better on Sunday with Washington surrendering the most passing yards in the NFL. The Commanders' defense has also given up the most fantasy points and most passing touchdowns to quarterbacks while recording the second-fewest interceptions in 2023. Despite the enticing matchup, the 31-year-old Siemian has not started a game since Week 12 of last season and should not be viewed as anything more than an emergency QB2 in superflex formats this week.
