Trevor Lawrence (Knee) Looks To Build On Season-Best Fantasy Performance

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence squares off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a tough Week 8 road tilt on Sunday. The star quarterback has been dealing with a knee injury that threatened to keep him out against the Saints, but Lawrence fought through and ended with a season-high in rushing yards (59). He has logged two limited practices this week and carries a questionable designation heading into the matchup in Pittsburgh, but is expected to play. Lawrence has struggled in the fantasy department this season despite his team record of 5-2, but he was able to use his legs and some timely passes to put him over the 18-point threshold for the first time in 2023. He will now take on a Pittsburgh secondary that has been average at best, albeit better at home, giving fantasy managers slight pause when deciding to start Lawrence in Week 8. However, with almost all of his weapons healthy and three opposing DBs listed on the injury report heading into the weekend, Lawrence should come very close to breaking his season high again making him a back-end QB1 option for Week 8.
