Trevor Lawrence Has Solid Outing In First Preseason Game
3 months ago

In two drives, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 3-for-4 with 42 yards passing, including a nine-yard touchdown to running back Travis Etienne Jr., in a 26-13 win over the Chiefs. Lawrence seems to already have chemistry with free-agent acquisition Gabe Davis, completing a 20-yard pass over the middle. With the additions of Davis and first-round-pick Brian Thomas Jr. to Evan Engram and Christian Kirk, it could be a breakout season for Lawrence. After a QB13 finish last year, at worst, Lawrence should once again be a fringe QB1 in 2024. If the new additions are the real deal, he could creep towards the top-six QBs, especially if he can maintain a solid rushing floor (964 yards, 11 touchdowns in three seasons). Currently going in the 11th round on Yahoo as the QB16, Lawrence is an interesting upside option for fantasy managers looking to wait on the QB position.
