Tre'Quan Smith Becomes A Free Agent
one year ago

The New Orleans Saints released wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (groin) from Injured Reserve on Tuesday, making him a free agent. Smith will have to prove he's past his groin injury before another team takes a chance on him as receiver depth. The 27-year-old former third-round pick by the Saints in 2018 out of Central Florida has yet to play in 2023 and had 19 receptions for 278 yards and a career-low one touchdown on 27 targets in 15 games (six starts) last year for New Orleans. Smith has 131 catches on 196 targets for 1,764 yards and 18 touchdowns in 66 games (35 starts) in five NFL seasons, all with the Saints.
