Travis Kelce's Frigid Slump Drags Into Week 16
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce couldn't climb out of his second-half rut in Week 16's stunning 20-14 defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders, catching five of his seven targets for 44 yards. Monday was simply another run-of-the-mill type of day for Kelce, whose torrid-hot start to the year is becoming more of a distant memory with each passing week at this point. Over his last eight games, the 34-year-old superstar is limping to fantasy's finish line with averages of 5.3 receptions on 7.3 targets for 55.4 yards and just one total touchdown. It coincides with quarterback Patrick Mahomes' woes and K.C.'s offense becoming highly erratic as a whole since that dreadful road loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 8. Kelce wraps up the fantasy campaign at home in the ultimate Week 17 get-right spot with a chance to carry managers to the promised land and put a hurt on arguably the NFL's worst tight-end coverage group in the Cincinnati Bengals.
