Travis Kelce Remains Top TE1 Despite Recent Slump
12 months ago

After looking as great as ever through Weeks 2-7, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could be starting to show signs of a potential slowdown ahead of Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 34-year-old future Hall of Famer averaged a whopping 8.0 receptions for 87.5 yards over his first six games before slipping for 5.3 catches for 38.7 yards per game across the last three. But Kelce's usage reached a season-best rate last Monday, netting a 93.6% snap share while running 45-of-45 possible routes. Kelce's elite role (81 targets on 279 routes run) in a Patrick Mahomes-led attack still has him on top among TEs in average full-PPR fantasy points (17.3) and fantasy points per route run (0.56) overall. With no other Chiefs pass catcher even remotely challenging Kelce for looks, the four-time All-Pro is a cinch TE1 and a good bet to find the end zone against a Raiders defense that's seen the second-most red-zone targets to TEs (13) this year.
