Travis Kelce Dealing With Low-Ankle Sprain
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) suffered a low-ankle sprain in the Week 5 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday based on the initial diagnosis, according to a source. Kelce left the game late in the second quarter but came back out with his ankle taped and eventually returned in the second half, and even scored a touchdown. The 34-year-old's injury isn't as serious as the dreaded high-ankle sprain, but with the Chiefs on a short week for the Week 6 contest against the division-rival Denver Broncos next Thursday, his status could in jeopardy. Kelce is a must-start elite TE1 when active, but fantasy managers may have to go in another direction next week. Noah Gray would be in play as a TE2 streamer if Kelce were to miss any time with this ankle injury.
