Titans Not Ready To Name Will Levis The Starter
one year ago

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said he's not ready to name rookie quarterback Will Levis the team's full-time starter yet despite two impressive performances in his first two NFL starts in Weeks 8 and 9. The Titans will continue to evaluate their depth chart over the weekend and into their mini-bye after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. Ryan Tannehill suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 6 and has missed the last two games (the team was on bye in Week 7). The 24-year-old Levis threw four touchdowns in his NFL debut in Week 8, and although he didn't have a TD in Week 9, he had some impressive throws and nearly led the team to a comeback win in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter. Given how Levis has looked in his first two games, we wouldn't be surprised if the Titans take it slow with Tannehill's ankle recovery heading into Week 10.
