Thad Lewis Interviews For Buccaneers OC Job On Wednesday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers completed an interview with former NFL quarterback Thad Lewis for their vacant offensive-coordinator role on Wednesday. The 36-year-old has been on Tampa Bay's staff since 2021 in two different roles, most recently the quarterbacks coach in 2023. Dave Canales left the role open after taking the head coaching job with the Carolina Panthers. Lewis has just three years of NFL coaching experience, but head coach Todd Bowles might look to promote from within to keep offensive continuity. Lewis played in the NFL for eight seasons after being undrafted out of Duke in 2010.
