Texans Place Tytus Howard On Injured Reserve
one year ago

The Houston Texans placed starting right tackle Tytus Howard (hand) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, so he will be forced to miss the first four games of the 2023 regular season. Howard is currently in a cast after having hand surgery, and his absence early in the season is definitely notable for the Texans' offense that will be run by rookie first-round quarterback C.J. Stroud. Until the 27-year-old Howard is able to return, George Fant will likely start on the right side of Houston's offensive line. The Texans took Howard in the first round (23rd overall) in 2019 out of Alabama State, and he's started 54 games for Houston in his four seasons with the team.
