Texans Interview Thad Lewis For Offensive-Coordinator Job

The Houston Texans have interviewed Thad Lewis for their vacant offensive-coordinator position. Lewis is currently the quarterbacks coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has reportedly been requested to interview for multiple jobs this offseason, but this is the first one he has taken. Lewis joined the Bucs staff in 2020 and has worked his way up to being the QB coach. Lewis was a backup quarterback in the league for a few years before deciding to switch to coaching. He certainly deserves some credit for the incredible turn around of Baker Mayfield's career in Tampa. It's unclear if the Bucs have any plans of promoting Lewis to offensive coordinator otherwise they could end up losing him to the Texans.
