Texans Defense Shows Promise In Week 1
one year ago

The Houston Texans defense posted four sacks and allowed 25 points in Sunday's 25-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Houston also forced a fumble and had one interception in the contest. Houston's defense started the game hot with Jonathan Greenard's third-down sack on Baltimore's first drive and cornerback Steven Nelson's interception on the ensuing drive. Despite the Ravens eventually finding their footing, there are plenty of things to be happy about for this Texans defense. Third-overall pick Will Anderson Jr. made his NFL debut and recorded his first sack. Houston's defense is expected to be better in 2023, and they'll face a rookie quarterback in Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
