Tee Higgins Not In Bengals' Future Plans, Extension Unlikely

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins "is not believed to be in the Bengals' future plans," according to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Higgins and the team never came close to an extension and appear headed towards a divorce next offseason. It's an interesting development considering the Bengals have benefitted greatly from having a three-headed monster of Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tyler Boyd at Joe Burrow's disposal. On the other hand, the salary cap is always looming and it's understandable if the Bengals would prefer to spend money on positions of need, rather than an already strong receiver room. At this rate, Higgins will enter the 2023 season as an impending free agent while ranking as a WR2 in fantasy football.
