Tee Higgins Not Expected To Play In Week 10
one year ago

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring), who did not practice on Thursday after injuring his hamstring on Wednesday, is expected to miss the Week 10 contest against the Houston Texans, according to sources. Higgins will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis going forward. Coupled with Ja'Marr Chase's back injury, the Bengals suddenly could be without their top two wideouts just as they have begun to hit their stride offensively with quarterback Joe Burrow past his calf issue. The 24-year-old was coming off his first 100-yard game of the 2023 campaign as well, so it's terrible timing for him, the Bengals and Higgins' fantasy managers. Regardless of whether Chase is able to play, Tyler Boyd has become a must-start in fantasy lineups this weekend, and Trenton Irwin and rookie Andrei Iosivas will be looking at bigger roles. Tight end Irv Smith Jr., who scored in Week 9, will also become a more attractive low-end TE1 option. Meanwhile, Burrow may end up being a fade this week if both Higgins and Chase are out.
