Teams Interested In Trading For Ezekiel Elliott
one year ago

Running back-needy NFL teams have reached out to the New England Patriots about the availability of running back Ezekiel Elliott, according to sources. Elliott will be a free agent again after the 2023 season, and the two-time All-Pro has 260 rushing yards and two touchdowns this year. It remains to be seen if the Pats end up sending the 28-year-old back packing before Tuesday's 4 pm ET trade deadline. If they do, Rhamondre Stevenson would take on a bigger role in New England's backfield, while one of Patrick Taylor or Kevin Harris would be elevated to the active roster from the practice squad. Zeke, who had a career-low 3.8 yards per carry in his final year in Dallas in 2022, is averaging just 3.9 yards per tote on his 67 attempts through eight games with the Pats.
