T.J. Hockenson Racks Up Five Catches In Loss To Kansas City
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson continues to be a prominent figure in the team's passing attack, recording five receptions on eight targets for 51 yards in the 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. The former Iowa Hawkeye has received eight or more targets in four of five games and has exceeded 50 yards in three of those outings. In 2023, he has established himself as one of the top options at his position on the pass-heavy Vikings roster and could assume an even larger role. His teammate, Justin Jefferson (hamstring), left the game in the fourth quarter due to a hamstring injury, which may lead to Hockenson taking on an even more significant role if Jefferson is sidelined. The upcoming matchup in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears presents a promising opportunity, as they have allowed the second-highest points to tight ends per game.
