Stone Smartt Gets Loose For 51-Yard Touchdown
12 months ago

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Stone Smartt came out of nowhere to score a 51-yard touchdown on three targets in Week 11's game against the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn't enough as the team fell 23-20 on Sunday. The undrafted second-year player broke a tackle on a Justin Herbert pass over the middle for a house call early in the second quarter, giving the Chargers a temporary 10-7 advantage in the scoring column. Those who streamed Donald Parham Jr. in Gerald Everett's (chest) absence could only shake their heads in disappointment. Even though Smartt notched his first career touchdown in this one, we wouldn't call it smart to spend a roster spot on him in most fantasy leagues ahead of Week 12's contest against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, considering he's received 10 targets in 10 games.
