Steelers Plan To Activate Pat Freiermuth From Injured Reserve
12 months ago

The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to activate tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) from Injured Reserve before they depart for Cleveland on Saturday, according to a source. Freiermuth, who has been out since injuring his hamstring in Week 4, will be a big boost for Pittsburgh's offense and for quarterback Kenny Pickett while going up against one of the best overall defenses in the NFL in the Browns. The 25-year-old hadn't exactly set the world on fire with just eight catches for 53 yards in four games before landing on IR, but he did have two touchdowns in four games and will be a nice weapon for Pickett in the red zone. In Freiermuth's first game back in Week 11, he should be treated as a touchdown-dependent TE2 for fantasy lineups in a tough matchup after a long layoff.
