Steelers Offense More Efficient With Coordinator On The Sideline
one year ago

The Pittsburgh Steelers moved offensive coordinator Matt Canada from the press box to the sideline last Thursday night in their win over the Tennessee Titans, and it allowed Canada to communicate more seamlessly with all position groups and gave him the chance to feel the flow of the game from a different perspective. It worked, as the offense produced season-highs in rushing yards (166), first downs (22), third-down conversion rate (50 percent) and EPA per play (0.14). "We're making moves with the intentions of being better," head coach Mike Tomlin said when asked about Canada's in-stadium migration. It's a small one-game sample size, but fantasy managers with any of Pittsburgh's offensive skill players will hope that this trend continues into Week 10 in a matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
