Steelers Interview Thomas Brown For Offensive-Coordinator Role
10 months ago

The Pittsburgh Steelers interviewed former Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown on Wednesday for their offensive-coordinator position. It's the first of the Steelers' candidates to actually be interviewed for the position. Pittsburgh fired former offensive coordinator Matt Canada after 10 games in 2023 and gave play-calling duties to Mike Sullivan the rest of the way. Brown has also interviewed with the Tennessee Titans and drew interest from the Chicago Bears for their offensive-coordinator job before settling on Shane Waldron. The 37-year-old was an offensive coordinator in Carolina for the first time in 2023, with the Panthers averaging a league-worst 13.9 points per game with No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young starting under center. Before that, Brown spent three years coaching running backs and tight ends for the Los Angeles Rams.
