Skyy Moore May See Uptick In Opportunity In Opener
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Skyy Moore seeks to put a nondescript rookie season in the rearview mirror in Week 1. The 22-year-old managed 22 receptions for 250 yards and failed to hit paydirt in the regular season of Year 1. Moore takes the field in a decent setup with Kadarius Toney unlikely to play a full allotment of snaps following late-July knee surgery. The Detroit Lions defense was beat up for the second-most receiving yards to WRs (3238) and the most fantasy points per game to slot receivers (15.9) a year ago. Fantasy managers should ideally be taking a wait-and-see approach before starting Moore on Thursday, but he may end up leading the receiving corps in snaps in this one. View the 2022 second-round pick as a low-end WR3/4 in a favorable matchup. Moore would arguably be the biggest beneficiary of additional opportunity if Travis Kelce (knee) is limited or ruled out entirely.
