Shaquill Griffin Claimed Off Waivers By Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have claimed defensive back Shaquill Griffin off waivers on Thursday. The Pro-Bowl corner was released by the Houston Texans earlier this week. In six games, Griffin has recorded 33 tackles, four passes defended and an interception this season. He lost significant playing time with the return of Derek Stingley in the secondary. The Panthers are banged up in the secondary, so Griffin could immediately slide into an impact role on the Panthers defense.
