Seattle D/ST Coughs Up 30 Points In Season Opener
one year ago

The Seattle Seahawks got the first look at the Cooper Kupp-less Los Angeles Rams and still got hit up for 30 points in the 2023 opener. Even though the defense limited Cam Akers to 1.3 yards per carry, they allowed three rushing touchdowns. And while Matthew Stafford couldn't find the end zone, Seattle's secondary still allowed the quarterback to throw for 334 yards. The defense recorded zero sacks or takeaways and the Rams were in total control in the second half, maintaining ball control for nearly 25 minutes total and scoring 23 unanswered points. Keeping points off the board will not get any easier for the Seahawks in Week 2 when they head to Detroit to face Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Lions.
