Seattle D/ST Allows Another 30-Point Game
one year ago

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Detroit Lions on Sunday but still gave up 31 points to their opponent. The secondary faltered for the second week in a row and allowed Jared Goff to throw for 316 yards and three touchdowns. The Seahawks showed more life than they did in their season opener last week, recovering two fumbles and scoring a touchdown on a pick-six. The unit also recorded two sacks and six tackles for a loss. Seattle hosts the Carolina Panthers and their rookie quarterback Bryce Young in Week 3. It may be hard to trust a defense after it gives up back-to-back 30-point games, but if the Seahawks can take advantage of their opponent's inexperience, then they can offset the points they allow with the turnovers and sacks they record, as they did in Week 2.
