Saquon Barkley "Isn't Going Anywhere"
one year ago

There continue to be trade inquiries on New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley as Tuesday's NFL deadline approaches, but interested teams are being told Barkley "isn't going anywhere." It makes sense, as Barkley isn't just a core piece of the team, but he's the clear face of the franchise and is an elite RB when healthy. The former No. 2 overall pick eventually reworked his deal with the Giants after a standoff before the regular season, but he's still going to be a free agent at season's end. The 26-year-old had a whopping 36 carries for 128 yards and caught three passes in the Week 8 overtime loss to the New York Jets and is a must-start RB1 when active. A trade to another team could make Barkley more attractive in fantasy, but it appears that's not going to happen.
