Saquon Barkley Hyperextends Elbow, Continues Playing
one year ago

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (elbow) scored the winning touchdown in the team's 14-7 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday after hyperextending his left elbow on the second drive of the game. He went to the sideline and was attended to by trainers before returning the following series with a sleeve on his left arm and elbow. "I'll be all right," Barkley said. The 26-year-old, who has been involved in trade rumors recently, should be fine to play in Week 8 against the New York Jets and isn't going to be traded by the team. Barkley had 77 yards on 21 carries in Week 7 and added three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. There might not be as much running room next Sunday against a tough Jets defense coming off their bye.
