Samaje Perine Hurt In Loss To Chiefs
one year ago

Not only did Denver Broncos running back Samaje Perine (leg, knee) have a terrible game in the 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, but he also apparently suffered a leg/knee injury late in the fourth quarter. Perine didn't see a single carry in this one with Javonte Williams returning from his quadriceps injury. The 28-year-old caught both of his targets for 16 yards, but he lost a fumble on the team's final offensive play of the night. Perine was apparently hurt on that play, but it's unclear right now how serious it is or if it will require him to miss time moving forward. The Broncos do have extra time before their Week 7 game against the Green Bay Packers. If Perine misses any time, it will allow Denver to get more of a look at impressive undrafted rookie Jaleel McLaughlin in their backfield.
