Sam LaPorta Added To Injury Report
one year ago

Detroit Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta (calf) was added to the Week 6 injury report after missing Thursday's practice with a calf injury. Mid-week injuries are usually never a good thing. If LaPorta is unable to return to practice in some fashion on Friday, there's a very real chance he won't be able to play in Week 6 this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That would be a big blow for fantasy managers, as the 22-year-old rookie is the overall TE1 in half-PPR scoring through the first five weeks of the season. If LaPorta is unable to play this weekend, Brock Wright would step into a bigger role and could be worth a look as a TE2 streamer. The good news for Detroit is it looks like they'll get top wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) back in Week 6 after he was inactive in the Week 5 win over the Carolina Panthers.
