Sam Howell Struggles Against Giants

Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell completed 22-of-42 passes for 249 yards and an interception along with two carries for 15 yards in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. What seemed like a favorable matchup heading into Week 7 turned into a mess for the second-year quarterback as nothing got going for him until the fourth quarter. Surprisingly, the Commanders had a shot at tying the game late, but the offense failed to finish in the red zone. Howell also took six sacks in this game, pushing his league-leading total to 40 on the year. Hopefully, the former Tar Heel can get back on track in Week 8 when Washington faces off against the Philadelphia Eagles at home.
