Sam Howell Shines In Week 8 Loss

Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell completed 39-of-52 passes for 397 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception along with three carries for 11 yards during Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Something about the Eagles brings the best out of Howell. Although he's had his fair share of struggles this year, the second-year quarterback put up another strong outing against Washington's vaunted division rival. With plenty of pass attempts, his 397 passing yards became the most allowed by the Eagles this season. The hope is that Howell can carry this into some consistent success, but his play has shown to be fairly erratic on a week-to-week basis. He'll aim to put up another solid outing in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
