Saints Sign James Robinson

The New Orleans Saints signed free-agent running back James Robinson on Tuesday, according to a league source. The former undrafted rookie that put up 1,000 yards in 2020 with the Jacksonville Jaguars continues to be passed around as RB depth in 2023 after his latest stint with the Green Bay Packers. The 25-year-old was active for one game with the Packers in Week 13 and had one carry for two yards and caught his only target for a two-yard loss on four offensive snaps. In New Orleans, Robinson will provide running back depth behind Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams. Rookie Kendre Miller (ankle) continues to battle an ankle injury and has missed the last four games. It's unlikely we'll see Robinson in a game for the Saints to close out 2023.
