Ryan Tannehill Not Expected To Need Surgery
one year ago

Unlike last year, Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is not expected to need surgery for the right high-ankle sprain he suffered in the Week 6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in London, according to sources. Tannehill is currently in a cast and there's no definitive timeline for his recovery, but this is "overall good news." The Titans are on bye in Week 7, but it's highly unlikely that Tannehill is going to be ready to go in Week 8 when the team faces the Atlanta Falcons. The 35-year-old veteran missed the final three games of 2022 with a similar injury and had surgery, so fantasy managers should be expecting him to miss a few games coming off the bye. The Titans are saying he's still their starting QB when healthy, but they'll have to choose between Malik Willis or rookie Will Levis to lead their offense in Week 8.
